silver clay Taster workshop

This is a three hour beginners course where you will learn how to make your own fine silver jewellery. You will be taught about using silver clay and produce at least two finished pieces using various techniques. No previous experience is required in metal clay or jewellery.

During your class you will learn how to handle the clay, how to texture, cut and shape it, how to store your clay and rehydrate it, how to refine your pieces and fire them, finishing with how to polish your fired fine silver pieces.

The class runs from 10.00am-1.00pm or 2.00pm-5.00pm.

All materials will be supplied to produce at least 2 pieces of silver jewellery, depending on the size you make, including silver clay and a jump ring. If you require extra clay or ear wires, jump rings or chains, you can buy them on the day. You are welcome to bring your own and fit them to your pieces to complete them.
